Origin and History
Belle de Crollon was introduced to the United States from France. Two accessions are documented in the USDA collection: the first (USDA PI 162544) was received from France in 1948, and the second (USDA PI 162708) was also received from France. Both accessions were reported by the U.S. Plant Introduction Station, Glenn Dale, Maryland, and are documented in H.H. Fisher's 1963 survey of apple clones in the United States.
