Bridgham Red was received by the USDA Agricultural Research Service from the Summerland Research Station in Summerland, British Columbia. The variety was reported as a limb sport or tree at Lakeside, Washington Station. It was also received from the Agricultural Experiment Station at Geneva, New York, and subsequently distributed to and maintained at the Agricultural Experiment Stations of Oregon State University (Corvallis, Oregon), Pennsylvania State University (University Park, Pennsylvania), and the University of Illinois (Urbana, Illinois). Station number: AP-H-327 (USDA ARS Irrigation Experiment Station, Prosser, Washington).
