Origin/History A seedling of Van Mons, first recorded in Mas Pomologie Générale 7:31, fig. 496 (1881).

Fruit

Size and Form: Medium to large, obovate-pyriform.

Skin: Rather thick and firm, becoming a little greasy with ripening. Bright green, densely speckled with green-gray dots. On ripening, the original green becomes yellow and is washed with red on the exposed side.

Flesh: Whitish, with a slight green tint directly under the skin. Rather coarse in texture, gritty at the center, semi-melting in consistency.

Flavor and Juice: Juice is plentiful, rich in sugar, acidulous, slightly perfumed, and agreeable in flavor.
