Raised by Mr. Charles Ross and introduced to notice about 1911. Described as a larger Pott's Seedling.

Growth: Vigorous, short-jointed, a little spreading.

Foliage: Leaves rather large, long pointed, oval, very minutely crenate. Stipules large and leafy.

Fruit

Size: Enormous; 4 by 3¾.

Form: Roundish oval; surface even.

Skin: Pale greenish-yellow.

Flesh: Soft, greenish-yellow.

CHARLES EYRE. Exhibition or culinary, October to November, enormous, 4 by 3¾, roundish oval, even. Colour, pale greenish-yellow. Flesh, soft, greenish-yellow. Growth, vigorous, short jointed, a little spreading. Leaf, rather large, long pointed, oval, very minutely crenate, stipules large and leafy. Origin, raised by Mr. Charles Ross, and introduced to notice about 1911. Will probably be one of the largest apples grown. A larger Pott's Seedling.
