NOTE ON SOURCE: The description provided in Hedrick is extremely condensed—typical of early 20th-century pomological reference works. It omits detailed information about cavity, calyx, basin features, lenticels, stem characteristics, core structure, and tree growth habit. For a complete identification guide, additional sources describing the tree form, leaf characteristics, and more granular fruit surface details would be needed.
