Origin and History
Doux Lozan was received in the United States from France in 1948. The variety has been maintained at the U.S. Plant Introduction Station in Glenn Dale, Maryland under Plant Introduction number 162546. A clone of the same accession (PI No. 162546) was subsequently transferred from Glenn Dale to the Agricultural Experiment Station of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
