Size and Form: Medium; roundish truncated to roundish oblate, somewhat angular.

Skin: Yellow base, mostly covered with dull red, mixed, with dark crimson stripes and splashes. Whitish net-veining dulls the coloring. Dots large, white, scattered.

Stem: Short to medium.

Cavity: Small, regular, russeted.

Basin: Wavy, rather deep, abrupt.

Calyx: Half open.

Flesh and Flavor: Whitish; somewhat astringent and acid.

Core and Seeds: Regular, closed. Tube funnel-shaped; stamens marginal.

Season Early August.

Uses Good for cooking only.
