Faurot was received from the Fruit Experiment Station, Mts. Grove, Missouri in 1959. The variety was reported by the U.S. Horticultural Field Station, P.O. Box 1250, Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Size and Form Middle-size, round and conical in shape.

Skin Attractive, with red stripes covering the whole fruit.

Flesh and Flavor Flesh is nearly white, firm, and subacid. Quality is fair.
