Raised by Mr. Williams of Pitmaston, England.

Tree Character

Of vigorous growth. Young wood grayish yellow brown.

Fruit

Form & Size: Roundish oblate.

Skin: Greenish, rough, sprinkled with russet.

Stem (Stalk): Much enlarged at its insertion in a pretty deep cavity.

Calyx: Large, open.

Basin: Broad and shallow.

Flesh & Flavor: Juicy, granular, melting, sugary, and rich. Vinous flavor, highly perfumed with musk. Quality rated good to very good.

Season

Matures December through January.
