Size large for a crab, round, oblate, warm yellow ground, with broken stripes of dark, becoming, on the sun-exposed side, entirely red, and very dark, almost black red, with a few minute light dots. Stalk slender. Cavity open, moderately deep. Calyx closed. Basin broad, not deep, but conspicuously furrowed. Flesh white, moderately fine-grained, not juicy, very mild subacid. Core large for size of fruit. Late Autumn.
