Glovier was received at the Agricultural Experiment Station, Department of Pomology, Geneva, New York in 1944 from Mont Glovier, Valle Cruces, North Carolina.
Fruit
Glovier is reported to be identical with Delicious except for increased color coverage. The fruit exhibits approximately 90% red coloration with a dull bloom. The flavor and quality are noted as not as good as Vance Delicious.
