Golden Anniversary was received by the USDA from Oscar M. Will & Co., Bismarck, North Dakota. It is an unknown seedling. Two accessions were documented: the first (station number A32864) was reported by the Kentucky Cornett Station (KyC) and the Northern Great Plains Field Station, Mandan, North Dakota (NdM); a second accession with USDA Plant Introduction number 148419 was received from North Dakota in 1944 (station number A33433), reported by the U.S. Plant Introduction Station, Glenn Dale, Maryland (MdG).
