Originated in Nassau in 1816. First described by Dochnahl in Führer durch die Obstkunde (1856).
Fruit
Size and Form: Small, turbinate.
Skin: Yellowish grass-green, often rather blushed. Very fine spotting throughout. Thick-skinned.
Flesh and Flavor: Granular, semi-melting. Aromatic and musky.
Quality: Second for dessert.
Season
Early September; keeps approximately 8 days.
