Origin/History: Although this variety has been confused with Passe Colmar of Hardenpont, it is in fact a distinct variety. It is documented in historical sources including Dochnahl's Obstkunde (1856) and Guide Pratique (1876). Hardenpont frühe Colmar ripens considerably earlier than Passe Colmar—in August and September—while Passe Colmar is not in season until November and December.

Fruit: Medium size, globular-turbinate form. Skin is a beautiful uniform yellow. Flesh is fine-grained and musky.

It ripens in August and September whereas Passe Colmar is in season during November and December.
