Origin and History

Huidobro appears in USDA records through two distinct accessions. The first accession (USDA Plant Introduction number 247025) was received from Denmark in 1958 and reported by the U.S. Plant Introduction Station, Glenn Dale, Maryland. The second accession (USDA Plant Introduction number 40830) was received from Glenn Dale, Maryland in 1908 and reported by the Agricultural Experiment Station, Department of Pomology, Geneva, New York.

Fruit

Size and Form Medium fruit, round-conical in shape.

Skin 100% striped.

Flesh and Flavor Yellow-cream flesh. Flavor is subacid. Texture is firm. Overall quality is rated as fair.
