Origin and History

Idajon is a cross of Wagener and Jonathan. The variety was received from Idaho and has been documented at multiple agricultural experiment stations across the United States, including the University of Connecticut (Storrs), Oregon State University (Corvallis), the Graham Horticultural Experiment Station (Grand Rapids, Michigan), Rutgers University (New Brunswick, New Jersey), the Agricultural Experiment Station at Moscow, Idaho, and Purdue University (Lafayette, Indiana). It is also recorded as present in Wisconsin.
