Origin and History

Jubilee is a hybrid apple arising from a cross between McIntosh and Grimes Golden. The variety was received by the USDA from the Experimental Farm at Summerland, British Columbia, Canada, in 1946. It was subsequently distributed to and maintained at the Agricultural Experiment Station, Department of Pomology, Geneva, New York, and the USDA station in Wenatchee, Washington (as of 1948).

Fruit

Size and Form: Small to medium. Round to conical.

Skin: Covered with blush.

Flesh: Semi-firm, cream-colored. Subacid.

Flavor and Quality: Fair.
