Originated on the farm of Capt. Rufus Knapp, Sutton, Mass.

Vigorous, spreading, inclining to droop. A good bearer annually.

Fruit

Size & Form: Large to very large, oblate to round oblate, very slightly conical.

Skin: Pale yellow or light straw color, with a shade of pale red in the sun, and many grayish dots.

Stem: Short, moderately stout.

Cavity: Large, deep, often five angled, with a slight greenish tint.

Calyx: Open.

Basin: Medium, slightly plaited.

Flesh & Flavor: Whitish yellow, rather coarse, moderately juicy. Pleasant, mild subacid, slightly aromatic, and of good quality.

Core: Medium or rather large.
