Originated on the farm of Mr. Krull, St. Charles, Missouri, about 1808, and brought to notice by C. T. Mallinckrodt in 1888.

Form and Size: Fruit type of Lawrence, medium, obovate-obtuse-pyriform.

Skin: Green with a tinge of yellow.

Stem: Short, thick, inserted in a shallow cavity.

Calyx: Open, set in a shallow basin.

Flesh and Flavor: Yellowish, firm, granular, tough, rather dry, sweet, with a flat taste. Quality rated poor to above.
