Origin and History

One of Major Esperen's introductions. The variety is also known as Juive or Jewess.

Tree Characteristics

The tree is vigorous and productive. Young wood is yellow-brown in color.

Fruit Description

Size and Form: Medium, with an ovate-obovate shape.

Color and Surface: Pale yellow ground color, considerably russeted, netted, and patched. Many brown russet dots are present over the surface.

Stem (Stalk): Short and stout, fleshy at the base.

Cavity: Small.

Calyx: Open, with segments persistent and often a little recurved.

Basin: Shallow and uneven.

Flesh: Yellowish in color, a little coarse at the core. Juicy and half melting with a sweet flavor and a little aromatic character.

Quality: Good to very good.
