Origin & History: A Belgian variety, described by Downing in 1869 as a new introduction.

Fruit: Medium size. Form roundish obovate (Downing) or globular-obovate (Hedrick). Skin greenish yellow, much covered, netted, and patched with yellow russet, and minute russet dots. Stalk short, stout. Calyx open, with recurved segments. Basin rather shallow, uneven.

Flesh & Flavor: Whitish, juicy, sweet, melting. Very good.

Season: September and October.
