Growth good; very fertile. Leaves rather small, narrow, with crenate or curved serrate margins, nearly flat, dark green.

Fruit

Size and Form: Large; 3½ by 3 inches; round, tapering to eye.

Skin: Pale green-yellow; smooth and slightly greasy.

Stem: Extremely short, in a flat cavity.

Calyx (Eye): Closed, set in a ribbed basin which is rather small.

Flesh: White, coarse-grained, acid.

NORFOLK DUMPLING. Culinary, September to October, large, 3½ by 3, round, tapering to eye. Colour, pale green yellow; smooth and slightly greasy. Flesh, white, coarse grained, acid. Eye, closed in a ribbed basin, which is rather small. Stem, extremely short, in a flat cavity. Growth, good; very fertile.
