A Wisconsin seedling of Tetofsky. Recommended in Bulletin No. 8 of the U.S. Division of Pomology. First described and evaluated by J. V. Cotta in his 1897 report to the Illinois Horticultural Society.
Tree
Perfectly hardy with a symmetrical growth habit.
Fruit
Approximately twice the size of Tetofsky and superior in quality. Other characteristics of the fruit—including stem, cavity, calyx, basin, skin color and texture, flesh, and core—are not described in the source.
Season
August, September.
Uses
A very promising summer apple.
