Fruit

Size: Large.

Form: Obtuse-pyriform, bossed, and swelled in its lower half, more or less hollowed at either end.

Skin: Lemon-yellow, slightly clouded with green, much speckled and spotted with brown.

Flesh: Whitish, fine, melting. Some grit around the core.

Juice and Flavor: Abundant, saccharine, vinous, and agreeably perfumed. Rated first quality.

Season

Mid-September.
