Origin and History

A posthumous variety raised from a seedbed of M. Tourasse and placed on the market in 1898 by M. Baltet, Troyes, France.

Fruit

Size and Form
Large to very large; pyramidal in outline with a ventriculous (swollen or bulging) center.

Skin
Water-green in ground color, passing to lemon-yellow at maturity, mottled with fawn-brown markings.

Flesh and Flavor
Extremely fine and melting; juicy and saccharine with a delicate perfume. Quality: very good.

Season

December and January.
