Medium, roundish oblong, faintly angular. Skin yellow, rather thinly striped and splashed crimson, the coloring dulled by a whitish bloom. Dots white, minute, obscure. Stem long. Cavity acuminate, regular, with radiating patch of russet. Basin broad, nearly flat, corrugated. Calyx half open, segments large. Core closed, tube conical, stamens median. Seeds few, small. Flesh white with peculiar spongy texture, juicy, subacid, fair quality.
