An old variety of unknown origin. Known by several regional names including Cheese Apple, Maryland Cheese, Prather Apple, and Findlay Apple.

Strong grower with a spreading habit. Not an early bearer, but becomes moderately productive with age.

Fruit

Medium, oblate form with sides sometimes unequal. Skin yellow, occasionally with a tinge of red in the sun. Flesh whitish, tender, juicy, and subacid.
