TAMPLIN.

Dessert, November, large, round tapering to eye, slightly uneven. Skin, smooth, greasy. Colour, deep crimson red all over with dark broken stripes. Flesh, yellowish, very poor flavour. Eye, closed, in a very shallow basin, which has beads at base. Stem, short in a small round cavity. Origin, undiscovered.
