Originated in Saxony, Germany, about 1802. Early documentation includes references in Christ's handbook (1817) and Dochnahl's Führer durch die Obstkunde (1856).

Twigs thick and long, heavily dotted. Buds small. Leaves round.

Size: Medium to large.

Form: Conical.

Skin: Yellowish, somewhat blushed.

Flesh and Flavor: Very juicy. Quality rated as good.
