Cavity: Deep.

Calyx: Open, set in a deep basin.

Skin: Smooth and oily (Elliott). Greenish yellow, with a blush in the sun, sprinkled sparingly with russet dots, and a little russet about the stem.

Flesh and Flavor: White, fine-grained, tender, juicy. Elliott describes the texture as almost melting, with "a most grateful, sub-acid flavor." Downing rates the quality as Good and characterizes the flavor as subacid.
