Origin and History

Seedling of Bartlett which originated with J. E. Hassler, Placerville, California. Introduced by Loma Rice Nursery in 1916.

Tree

Similar to Bartlett in general character but distinguished by more slender and whip-like branches. Vigorous in growth habit.

Fruit

Size: Medium to very large.

Form and Shape: Shaped like Bartlett but irregular in outline.

Skin: Yellow.

Flesh: Rather coarse in texture.

Flavor: Sweet and pleasant.

Season

December.
