Raised by Arsène Sannier of Rouen, France, from seed of Bergamotte Espéren, which it resembles in form.

Fruit

Size and Form: Medium to small, oblong-pyriform.

Skin: Grayish-green.

Flesh and Flavor: Very fine; distinctive and exquisite flavor.

Season

Winter and spring.

Tree

Very fruitful.

Uses

First quality — excellent fresh pear.
