BUFF COAT. Culinary, December to March, large, 3½ by 2½, flat, conical, irregular. Colour, dull yellowgreen, with large patches of thick russet. Flesh, firm, juicy, yellowish, sweet. Growth, sturdy; moderately fertile. Origin, unrecorded. An old variety. Resembles Alfriston, but is flatter.
