Created by M. Hérault of Angers, France, from a cross of Beurré Giffard and Joyau de Septembre in 1879. Published in Revue Horticole, 1898.

Fruit

Size and Form: Medium. Turbinate, ovate, enlarged at center.

Skin: Russeted all over.

Flesh and Flavor: Fine, very melting, rather subject to mellowness. Excessively juicy, very sugary, slightly acidulous, with a delicate, musky savor. Quality: good.
