Origin/History Russia. Catalogued by N.E. Hansen in "A Study of Northwestern Apples" (1902) as specimen No. 382.

Tree Very productive.

Fruit Size: Medium or below. Form: Round, oblate, slightly angular and ribbed. Stem and Cavity: Stem short; cavity acute and regular. Calyx and Basin: Calyx closed; basin ribbed and wavy, rather wide and abrupt. Surface: Greenish yellow, mostly covered with dark crimson stripes and splashes; entire fruit covered with a thick blue bloom. Core: Open or closed; tube wide and funnel-shaped; stamens marginal. Flesh and Flavor: White, juicy, acid, poor.
