Kaiser originated in Southeastern Ohio. The variety was first published under the alternate name "Red Seek-no-further."

Growth habit resembles that of the Rambo variety.

Size and Form: Medium, roundish-oblate, often slightly oblique.
Skin: Shaded and obscurely striped with red on a greenish-yellow ground. Small specimens are smooth and regular, free from ribs.
