Origin and History
Specimens recorded from Chillicothe, Ohio. Early pomologists occasionally confused this variety with the Tetofski, though contemporary descriptions do not correspond. Comparison of tree characteristics was recommended to definitively establish distinction.

Fruit
Size and Form: Medium to small; globular, slightly conical, regular.
Surface: Smooth; greenish yellow, blushed. Dots numerous, large, and white.
Stem: Long and stout.
Cavity: Rather wide and regular.
Calyx and Eye: Eye small and closed. Basin medium and wavy.
Flesh: Yellow, tender, fine-grained, and juicy.
Flavor: Sub-acid.
Core and Seeds: Core small, round, closed, and not meeting the eye. Seeds numerous and brown.
Season
June and July; noted as one of the earliest varieties.
Uses
Kitchen and table.
Quality
Good.
