Obtained by M. Sannier of Rouen, France, from a seedling of Beurré Diel crossed with Doyenné du Cornice. Introduced about 1894.
Tree
Vigorous and fertile, pyramidal in form.
Fruit
Large, globular-obovate in shape. Skin greenish-yellow. Flesh fine, melting, juicy, and sugary with a deliciously perfumed flavor. The fruit has the appearance of Duchesse d'Angoulême.
